The role of an Assistant Buyer is to ensure that an effective and efficient procurement service is provided to all end-users, making sure that all orders are processed correctly and assist with identifying usage trends that could lead to process improvements and achieve cost savings.
Assistant Buyers are required to act as an ambassador for the department, assist in influencing end user's choice of products and make sure all queries and complaints are dealt with in a professional and positive manner.
The post holder will be a member of the P2P team and will be required to adopt a flexible attitude.
Balanced against the need to remain cost effective, the primary responsibility is to provide a strong and effective professional service leading to the achievement of agreed targets, efficiencies and added value initiatives.
