Our Vision is to provide the best mental health, learning disability, autism and community based services for the populations we serve.

As an integrated mental health, learning disability and community Trust, Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including:

  1. Primary and secondary mental health care for children and adults including specialist inpatient child and adolescent mental health provision, perinatal mental health, forensic services including low and medium secure care.
  2. Specialist community support for children and adults with learning disabilities and autism, including intensive support.
  3. Community physical health and well-being services for children and adults.

Job overview

This exciting opportunity will see you working within a dynamic Business Analysis and Change Team. The team works with network and service managers across the trust to identify, plan and undertake improvement projects related to digitally enabled change utilising appropriate improvement techniques.

We are looking for a candidate who has demonstrated an interest and passion for business analysis and business change in a healthcare environment. It is crucial you possess excellent problem-solving skills and an eye for detail, combined with the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in order to deliver successful digitally enabled change.

You must be willing to get 'stuck in' to our ambitious and challenging programmes, supporting business process design and the planning/implementation of change across the trust.

Main duties of the job

You should have an understanding of business analysis as a discipline as well as recognised improvement tools, techniques and methodologies including a working knowledge of project management in practice.

You will use your knowledge and engagement skills to gain understanding of clinical pathways and operational processes to assist clinicians, senior managers and other stakeholders in taking maximum advantage of new digitally enabled change.

Essential criteria

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience
  • IT qualification (such as A-level, Microsoft Office Specialist, ECDL, etc.)

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Digital and current NHS affairs
  • Knowledge of the use of information across the NHS
  • Knowledge of the use of business analysis requirement specifications

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Proven experience of unsupervised projects/requirements work in a fast paced environment
  • Previous experience of using software packages such as Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio
  • Experience of using appropriate systems (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to collect, collate and report data in an accurate format
  • Experience with managing and prioritising business requirements
  • Experience of the technical report development process
