The Assistant Bar Manager will be supporting the Bar Manager in overseeing the bar program by creating and maintaining bar standards while driving sales through creative and innovative drinks, building relationships with suppliers and vendors in the absence of the Bar Manager.

In addition, the Assistant Bar Manager will support the Bar Manager and be accountable for the day-to-day operations of the bar.

Salary: £29,000 per year

Contract: 46-week annual contract (August, Easter + Christmas & NY closure)

Schedule: Monday to Friday with weekly early/late shift rotation.

Responsibilities:

  • You are passionate and articulate about food and beverage.
  • Manage the overall bar and beverage offer for the restaurant including cocktails, beers, garnishing, and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Create and maintain service and operational standards for the bar, making use of best practices and efficiencies where possible.
  • Lead the creation and maintenance of cocktail lists including new and innovative products and combinations while keeping in mind costing.
  • Build and maintain relationships with guests, team members, and clients.
  • Demonstrate a professional and courteous attitude throughout service and shifts, acting as an ambassador for the brand.
  • Strive for maximum efficiency and continual improvement of staff productivity.
  • Additional duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications:

  • Passionate about food and drink.
  • You value positivity, honesty, and respect.
  • You aim to leave lasting, positive impressions on every guest through intelligent, enthusiastic, and emotional service.
  • You have 2-3 years in a supervisory position.
  • Have a strong wine and beverage background.
