About the Role

As an Assistant Audit Manager, you will take the lead on a variety of audit assignments, overseeing teams and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality audit services. This role offers the perfect balance of hands-on client work, leadership responsibilities, and professional development opportunities.

Assistant Audit Manager Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct statutory audits for corporate clients, both on-site and in the office
  • Lead and manage larger and more complex audit assignments
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members, fostering their professional growth
  • Ensure audit procedures are adhered to and maintain quality standards
  • Liaise with clients, ensuring a smooth audit process and excellent service delivery
  • Identify and resolve technical or client-specific issues, providing effective solutions
  • Support senior management and partners on ad hoc projects and advisory assignments
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships to support business growth
  • Review audit work and ensure reports are prepared to a high standard
  • Potentially manage a small portfolio of clients
Assistant Audit Manager Requirements
  • ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified with relevant experience
  • Strong experience in statutory audit within a professional practice setting
  • Exposure to group audits and consolidated financial statements is beneficial but not essential
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage workload effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • A proactive, professional, and solutions-focused approach
  • Experience using automated audit software and financial reporting tools
  • Full, clean driving licence with access to a car (desirable but not essential)
