We are seeking an Assistant Archaeological Consultant to join Atkins Heritage team of specialist consultants, supporting delivery of a wide range of heritage services nationally and internationally. You will be based in our Bristol, London, York, Glasgow or Birmingham offices to help deliver our increasing portfolio of archaeological projects across the UK and abroad.

You will have a strong background in the historic environment, but with a focus on delivering archaeological fieldwork, with good commercial awareness and knowledge of the UK planning system would be welcomed. You will be expected to thrive in a dynamic and fast paced work environment, enjoy being part of multi-disciplinary teams and have a flexible team working approach. In this role, you would have the opportunity to work on projects of varying scale, for a diverse range of clients and in a variety of national and regional historic contexts. Whether large-scale master planning for development authorities, infrastructure for clients such as Thames Water, Network Rail and National Highways, or smaller bespoke pieces of work for heritage sector clients. The AtkinsRéalis Heritage team pride we on offering great opportunities to grow and develop. Qualifications:
Relevant Masters level, or higher qualification in archaeology or considerable experience in the commercial archaeological sector akin to this level of qualification.
