Summary

We have a brand new role for an Assistant Analyst to join an exceptional company in the transportation industry, with an office in central Manchester, close to major transport links.

The main objectives of the team is to support the company with their local and regional aims. The role will be pivotal in providing key input into the technical delivery of a wide range of analytic activities with a focus on statistical modelling, system monitoring / integration and data analysis.

You will be expected to develop effective working relationships with project teams and clients so excellent communication skills are a must!

This position would suit someone with experience, especially in the transport sector. You’ll be working directly with a team of analysts, data scientists and transport modellers so it’s a great opportunity to join a team of like-minded and ambitious individuals.

They’re offering this position on a hybrid basis with 1 to 2 days a week in their Manchester office.

Role Requirements

We are looking for a pro-active and analytical thinker with previous experience in data analytics and modelling, tech management and assurance, and economic planning to apply their expertise in the following areas:

  • Gather and analyze data, including statistical and trend analysis
  • Monitor systems, processes and practices to identify areas for improvement
  • Undertake geo-spatial data analytics and statistical analysis
  • Use databases to manage, analyze and integrate data from various sources
  • Apply knowledge of scripting languages to transform data into clear information
  • Lead on the delivery of projects to ensure they are delivered to time, cost and standards.

  • Previous experience undertaking technical presentation
  • Previous experience monitoring budgets
