Job description

A permanent Assistant Accountant role is available in Aberdeenshire, focusing on financial processes, reporting, reconciliations, and compliance. This position suits a detail-oriented professional with accounting qualifications, ERP experience, and strong organisational skills. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic finance team, working both independently and collaboratively.

Reporting to the Finance Director, your role will include:

  1. Processing and maintaining financial transactions, including invoices, expenses, and payments.
  2. Managing bank reconciliations and cash forecasting across multiple entities.
  3. Assisting with financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Maintaining customer and vendor data within the ERP system.
  5. Supporting compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  6. Preparing payroll information and post related journal entries.
  7. Issuing statements and managing outstanding debt collection.
  8. Monitoring FX rates and updating financial records accordingly.
  9. Contributing to process improvements and digital transformation initiatives.
  10. Assisting with audits, budget preparation, and forecasting activities.
