Job description

We are working with a very exciting business based in the Denbighshire region to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant. The company is quite open on the in which they bring someone in – they are happy to look at someone who is AAT Qualified/ early stages of CIMA/ACCA, or someone who is part qualified/finalist level. They are also open to someone who is Qualified By Experience if they have the right experience.

In this role, you will be joining a business with a strong, national presence that is rapidly growing both organically and by acquisition. You will support a Finance Manager in preparing monthly reports to group, and play a key role in the long term success of both the finance team and the business by progressing into a senior member of the finance team.

Day to day duties will include:

  • Supporting the Finance Manager in preparing group reporting
  • Preparing P&L reports and assisting in the production of the management accounts pack
  • Posting accruals and prepayments, making necessary adjustments
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Intercompany reconciliations, ensuring all charges are allocated correctly
  • Working on projects to help drive changes in the business
  • Assisting with implementing new processes to newly acquired businesses by integrating them into current structure
  • Liaising with wider finance teams to ensure processes are effective, acting as a point of escalation day to day

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Have experience working in a finance role, ideally with some level of management accounting/month end experience
  • Minimum AAT qualified or part qualified with desire to continue studying
  • Knowledge of financial control and principles
  • Strong financial systems knowledge and Excel skills

You will get:

  • Salary will be £30,000-40,000 depending on experience/qualification
