100% onsite role in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire
Temporary role; circa. 3 month initial duration
Salary up to 21.20 p/h + holiday pay (PAYE)
Immediate start
Early finish on Fridays!

Are you super savvy with reconciliations, happy to assist with month–end, and available & ready to get stuck in straight away? If so, this role could be just the ticket!

We are delighted to be assisting a long–standing client with their search for an Assistant Accountant to help out in the short–to–medium term whilst they undergo a departmental restructure; the initial contract duration will be circa. 3 months, but could well be extended or even lead to a permanent role for the right candidate.

Key duties will include:

  1. Using SAGE to produce invoices
  2. Manage bank payments & reconciliations, including foreign currency payments
  3. Posting month end journals and assisting up to trial balance
  4. Reconciling supplier statements
  5. Corresponding with customers to ensure payment of invoices
  6. Generalist support in the accounts department, as directed by the Group FD

In order to be considered, you need to have:
  1. Significant experience in a similar role
  2. Strong communication skills
  3. A diligent, professional approach to work
  4. Knowledge of Microsoft packages, and proficiency in using Excel (e.g., Pivot tables, lookups)
  5. Accountancy qualifications would be advantageous but aren't essential
