Monday - Thursday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Friday, 9:00 am - 4:30 pm

We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Assistant Accountant to join a highly successful company in Heanor. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in managing financial records and supporting the organisation's overall financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist with month-end close processes
  2. Prepare detailed reports for management
  3. Accurately maintain financial records and documentation for all transactions
  4. Input data and generate reports using Sage 50 accounting software
  5. Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial statements promptly
  6. Payment runs to the bank, balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliation
  7. Collaborate with various departments to support seamless financial operations
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience in assistant accountant or similar role is preferred
  2. Proficiency in Sage accounting software is desirable
  3. Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial record-keeping practices
  4. Competence in Microsoft Excel
  5. Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with colleagues and management
