Qualifications

Job Description Summary

The role of the Assessment Psychologist is to conduct diagnostic evaluations for individuals ages 1 to 21, evaluating results, and delivering treatment recommendations to families.

Essential Functions

Clinical Responsibilities:

  1. Selects, administers, scores, and interprets psychological tests and complete psychological assessments.
  2. Conduct diagnostic evaluations using standardized assessments for autism and differential diagnosis.
  3. Develop and deliver appropriate, individualized treatment recommendations to families.
  4. Provide high quality and efficient clinical services and reports.
  5. Participate in continuity of care for children evaluated and diagnosed.
  6. Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary clinical team.
  7. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience
  1. Doctorate in clinical psychology.
  2. State license or eligibility.
  3. 3 years clinical experience required, which may include internships, externships, or fellowships.
  4. Experience with diverse population preferred.
  5. Certification in good standing and appropriate State licensure.
  6. Knowledge of the behavioral health industry and terms.
  7. Demonstrated ability to design and implement best practices related to training.
  8. Proficient knowledge of computer systems including Excel and Word.
  9. Knowledge of industry regulations.
  10. Experience administering Autism specific assessment screeners and diagnostic tools is preferred.
Work Environment, Physical Conditions
  1. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Ability to work 40+ hours per week.
  3. Ability to travel between clinics.
  4. Ability to work cooperatively with others.
  5. Must comply with practice policies and procedures.
  6. Physical activities include standing for long periods of time, sitting for long periods of time, walking, bending, kneeling.
  7. Must be able to reach, pull, and push.
  8. Requires manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills.
  9. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
