Providing residential parenting assessments in cases where there are concerns about a parent’s capacity to keep a child safe. Trevi’s ambition is that whatever the outcome of the parenting assessment, the experience of the family will be one of transparent working, respectful practice and collaboration.
We are looking for an experienced and confident social worker to join the team across Trevi. You will be working with complex families who have suffered trauma and will be responsible for undertaking a parenting assessment within the timescales directed by the court / local authority.
This will include working directly with families, completing risk assessments, placement plans, providing Court evidence, providing educational activities and feedback to support the child's development and empower the parents to create change that is ‘safe enough parenting'.
We are looking for a candidate who has experience of working within statutory child protection services and is confident operating within the family court arena. You will be focused upon outcomes for children, but able to work compassionately with parents too, many of whom may be fearful and distrustful of professionals.
We are looking for motivated women who are committed to working from a trauma informed perspective.
