Assembly Operator
Newark, Full Time, Permanent
£12.21 per hour

Our Newark based client is seeking an Assembly Operator to join their busy team. You will be an integral member of the Final Assembly Production Team with the day-to-day responsibility for Product Manufacturing.

THE ROLE

As an Assembly Operator you will work on a day-to-day basis with Final Assembly Production Supervisor to maintain high efficiency and quality, duties include:

  1. Following assembly instructions and procedures to complete manufacturing assemblies.
  2. Using hand and power tools to assemble the final product.
  3. Following standard operating procedures (SOP).
  4. Performing quality checks and inspections during assembly process.
  5. Maintaining assigned workstation in an organized and clean manner.

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal Assembly Operator will have a flexible work ethic with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, other key skills required include:

  1. Good communication skills with the ability to build and maintain a good relationship with colleagues.
  2. Demonstrates ability to quickly and proficiently understand and absorb new information.
  3. Ability to work with small parts, good hand skills and eyesight with attention to detail.
  4. Ability to work to deadlines.
  5. Must be comfortable using the computer, typing, and using a variety of systems to complete daily tasks.
  6. Ability to read work instructions and follow production drawings.
