Assembly Operative

Gi Group are looking for Assembly Operatives to work for a worldwide manufacturer within the production department of their Cheltenham (GL51) site.

Job Details for an Assembly Operative:

1. £11.44 per hour, paid weekly
2. Monday - Thursday: 8am - 5pm
3. Friday: EARLY FINISH: 8am - 1pm
4. Temp with potential to be permanent
5. 30 minute lunch break + 15 minute additional break
6. Dexterity based
7. Based on a production line, assembling goods using drills, rivets, clamps, and other hand tools to assist with the build.
8. Full induction provided - Manual handling training, HSE training.
9. Steel toe cap boots required for site.

Main Responsibilities of Assembly Operative:

1. Assembling components and ensuring parts are fitted correctly, using the correct equipment required, for example clamp or hand drill.
2. Ensuring workspace is clean and complying with health and safety standards.
3. Performing preventative maintenance, reporting, and resolving any faults or assembly line issues.
4. Complying with industry and company health and safety standards.

Skills Required:

1. Ability to work within a fast-paced environment, under pressure.
2. Good attention to detail.
3. Excellent Communication.
4. Knowledge of machinery desirable.
5. Experience in production or assembly desirable.
