Job description

Job Title: Assembly Operative.

Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire

About the Company:

Our client is a privately-owned engineering company based in Basingstoke, specialising in laser cutting, sheet metal fabrication, powder coating, final assembly, and design assistance services. Our client is also a UK leading supplier of Acoustic Enclosures and Plant Housings.

Due to company growth, we are actively recruiting for Assembly Operatives to join our client working (Apply online only) Monday-Thursday. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and expanding company with the possibility for career progression.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Perform final assembly of acoustic enclosures and plant housings.
  2. Use hand tools, battery-operated tools, and manual equipment such as screws, crowbars, and wrenches.
  3. Assemble products to specification, ensuring quality standards are met.
  4. Work within a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
  5. Training provided on day shifts for up to 3 months before transitioning to evening shift.

Skills & Experience Required:

  1. Previous factory assembly or mechanical experience preferred.
  2. Car mechanic experience is beneficial.
  3. Comfortable using hand tools, battery-operated tools, and basic assembly equipment.
  4. Ability to work efficiently and follow instructions.
  5. Must be a team player with a proactive attitude.

Additional Information:

  1. Long weekends (every weekend off).
  2. Salary GBP32,700PA.
