Are you an Aspiring SEN Teacher looking to gain hands-on experience in the field? We are seeking a passionate individual to join our team as a SEMH Tutor, where you'll have the opportunity to develop your teaching skills while supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Mental Health challenges. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow in a supportive environment, starting immediately.

Responsibilities of an Aspiring SEN Teacher:

  1. Deliver tailored tutoring in Functional Skills (Maths, English, ICT) and GCSE subjects to students with SEMH needs.
  2. Support students in building their academic skills, confidence, and emotional resilience.
  3. Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet individual learning styles and needs.
  4. Track student progress, set achievable goals, and provide feedback to students and their families.
  5. Collaborate with parents, carers, and school staff to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environment.

As an Aspiring SEN Teacher, you should possess:

  1. A passion for working with students with SEMH and a commitment to pursuing a career in teaching.
  2. Some experience in tutoring, ideally in Functional Skills and GCSE subjects, but not essential.
  3. A strong desire to develop your teaching practice and learn effective strategies for supporting SEMH students.
  4. Empathy, patience, and proactivity with a clear passion for helping students reach their potential.
  5. Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with students and their families.
  6. Local to Kempston or able to commute easily.

Location: Kempston

Pay: £130 - £150 per day

Sector: Education and Training

Hours: 08:30 - 16:30
