The role as an Intervention Support Assistant:

  1. Your main duty and role will be to support the students in the classroom.
  2. The support you provide will be either in a small group setting or 1 to 1.
  3. Your priority will be to ensure that these children have a warm and safe environment to come to every day so that learning can take place.
  4. You will be supported by the class teacher and also have the advantage of being exposed to a multi-disciplinary team.
  5. Those with backgrounds in sports, art or drama are encouraged to apply.

The successful Intervention Support Assistant:

  1. Will be calm, passionate about making a difference, and positive.
  2. Will have some experience working with children.
  3. Will understand the importance of safeguarding.
  4. Will have a DBS certificate or be willing to obtain one.
