Aspiring Prison Rehabilitation Officer - Guildford - Education and Training

This Aspiring Prison Rehabilitation Officer role in Guildford offers essential restorative experience within anti-social and challenging settings – the perfect opportunity for those with aspirations in probation, rehabilitation, prison, youth, and social justice. Based on holistic and therapeutic practice, with a focus on restorative practices, this role is ideal for Criminology and Psychology Graduates.

The position involves working with vulnerable students, increasing their engagement, attainment, and life chances, aiming to prevent entry into the criminal justice system. You will collaborate with teachers and specialist staff to support students with special educational needs (SEN) and various social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Many children may have faced adverse childhood experiences, and you will identify their risks and needs, escalating where necessary. Your role will provide consistency and equip children and young people with tools to feel safe, secure, empowered, and hopeful about their futures.

  • Salary: £85-£90 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 16:30, PAYE, term time only
  • No previous experience required
  • Ideal for those with a Psychology / Criminology / Social Science degree
  • Must have the right to work in the UK - no Visa sponsorship
