Aspiring Educational Psychologist - Psychology Graduate

We are working with an 'Outstanding' graded primary school in the heart of the diverse, multi-cultural and forward-thinking London borough of Waltham Forest. The school is renowned in the local area as one of the best primary schools, going above and beyond for every pupil and staff member, with a rich and diverse curriculum.

The school is looking for x5 Aspiring Educational Psychologist - Psychology Graduates to support pupils with a wide variation of needs including Autism (ASD), PMLD (Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), Speech and Language (SP&L), Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and more! All vacancies are ASAP starts!

Any Aspiring Educational Psychologist - Psychology Graduates will have the opportunity to work alongside truly world-class Speech and Language Therapists, Educational Psychologists, CAMHS Link Workers, Mental Health Professionals, Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator (SENCO) and Specialist on-site teachers, all of which have multiple years of industry experience!

Job Description

  1. Support students with SEN on a day-to-day basis (ASD, PMLD, SLD, SP&L and more)
  2. Liaising with Class Teachers and the SENDCO regarding the progress of children
  3. Provide a stimulating and safe learning environment for children
  4. Delivering specialist interventions
  5. Liaising with the school's therapists

ASAP start - Long Term - Full Time
£105 - £115 per day
Located in the Borough of Waltham Forest

Person Specification

  1. Childcare related experience, particularly with a SEN focus - Ideal
  2. You MUST be resilient, patient, calm-natured, empathetic & adaptable
  3. A hardworking and driven individual who will exceed all expectations of the role requirements
  4. Experience of supporting children (4-18) with SEN - Autism, PMLD, SLD, SP&L - Ideal
  5. Future career ambitions to become an Ed Psych, Clin Psych, Therapist, Well Being Practitioner etc.
