GSL Education is looking for a dedicated ASD Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Newcastle. If you're committed to making a difference in students’ lives and helping them overcome learning barriers, this role is perfect for you!

Your Role as an ASD Teaching Assistant:

1. Support students with ASD, helping them reach their full potential.
2. Assist with tailored education plans, adapting lessons to individual needs.
3. Provide one-to-one and small group support to help students stay engaged.
4. Monitor progress and adjust support strategies based on student needs.
5. Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
6. Use creative teaching techniques to support different learning styles.

What We’re Looking For in an ASD Teaching Assistant:

1. Experience working with students with ASD in an educational or care setting.
2. Strong communication skills to build relationships with students, staff, and parents.
3. Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting students with additional needs.
4. Additional qualifications or training in SEN (desirable but not essential).
