Position: ASD Teaching Assistant
Start Date: ASAP start
Type: Long-term, with the potential to become permanent

Remedy Education is seeking experienced ASD Teaching Assistants for long-term positions starting ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity to support schools in providing care and assistance to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide 1:1 support for children with ASD and SEN.
  2. Assist teachers with day-to-day teaching and learning activities.
  3. Support personal care tasks where required.
  4. Collaborate with other staff to maintain a safe and productive environment.
  5. Adhere to school policies, including safeguarding, child protection, behaviour management, and health and safety.

Requirements:
  1. Experience supporting children with ASD and associated challenging behaviours.
  2. A minimum of 3 months' experience as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant.
  3. Commitment to working with children with SEN.
  4. Ability to manage challenging behaviours and adapt to students' needs.
  5. Proactive, patient, and enthusiastic with a positive attitude.
  6. Strong teamwork skills and a passion for working with children with Special Needs.
  7. Experience working one-to-one with students is highly desirable.

  1. Enhanced DBS Disclosure and professional reference checks.
  2. A complete CV detailing education and employment history, including explanations for any gaps in employment.
