About the role

You will be providing friendly, efficient, customer-facing, front-line public services to clients and partners of Cambridgeshire Music within our Business Team. You will need to be able to work on occasion on evenings and some weekends, as required to meet service needs. You will be supported and supervised and have responsibility for managing stock and equipment as required.

Our customer services include reception, digital systems support, information provision, and face-to-face transactions with service users. Alongside this, you will help our service run well by completing a range of administration tasks. Within the day-to-day running of our Histon Music and Cultural Education Centre, activities can include helping set up spaces, library and instrument loan, general building operation, and assisting in the delivery of events.

This post is offered initially on a 12 months fixed term basis and conversion to a permanent role will be considered during the contract period. Appointment to this post will be subject to the outcome of an Enhanced Disclosure obtained through the Disclosure and Barring Service.   3. Administration skills enabling you to work independently.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, providing the ability to represent the service in a positive and professional manner.
  5. Awareness of the need for confidentiality, sensitivity of information, and GDPR.
