Band 8a Artificial Intelligence Programme/ Service Manager 2 years fixed contract

The University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Programme Manager to lead our AI Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of AI projects within the Trust. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership and project management skills, as well as an understanding of AI technologies and their applications in the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the AI Team to ensure successful project delivery, by setting clear goals and providing direction.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring all milestones are met.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, clinical staff, and external partners, to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and mitigating risks through proactive problem-solving and regular status reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including data protection laws and healthcare guidelines.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team, encouraging the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
  • Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders and senior management, providing clear and concise reports and presentations.
