Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging art lessons to students of various age groups
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to express their creativity
• Guide and inspire students in developing their artistic skills, techniques, and understanding of art history and theory
• Assess and provide feedback on students' progress, offering constructive criticism and praise to foster growth
• Plan and organize art activities, projects, and exhibitions to showcase students' work to the wider school community
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive art curriculum that aligns with the school's vision and goals
• Stay updated with advancements in art education and incorporate innovative teaching methods and technologies into lessons

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
• Proven experience as an Art teacher, preferably in a primary or secondary school setting
• Strong knowledge of art history, techniques, and theory
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents
• Demonstrated ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Creative, innovative, and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning
• Ability to effectively plan and organize lessons, activities, and exhibitions
