Responsibilities
Develop and deliver engaging art lessons to students of various age groups
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to express their creativity
Guide and inspire students in developing their artistic skills, techniques, and understanding of art history and theory
Assess and provide feedback on students' progress, offering constructive criticism and praise to foster growth
Plan and organize art activities, projects, and exhibitions to showcase students' work to the wider school community
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive art curriculum that aligns with the school's vision and goals
Stay updated with advancements in art education and incorporate innovative teaching methods and technologies into lessons
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
Proven experience as an Art teacher, preferably in a primary or secondary school setting
Strong knowledge of art history, techniques, and theory
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents
Demonstrated ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Creative, innovative, and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning
Ability to effectively plan and organize lessons, activities, and exhibitions
