Pinc College is seeking to appoint an Art Teacher, based at our beautiful Aston Hall Campus

Job Type: Permanent, Part-time

5 days per week 09.00h-15.00h (actual teaching time is 10am-2pm).

Teaching group- 10 students

Actual Salary for 5 days per week: £28,665.00 per year, term-time only (38 weeks), however you will be paid for 39 weeks to take into account planning.

The Role

We are looking for an Innovative Teacher, capable and interested in teaching UAL Diploma level 2 and 3. You will have a broad skillset and require a curiosity and creativity to develop a rich curriculum with museum and gallery artefacts/cultural sector inspiration.

Reporting to your Regional Teaching and Learning Lead, you will implement our College Methodology by:

  1. Promoting our College Values and Culture
  2. Adhering to all Pinc policies
  3. Promoting Inclusion and participation for all
  4. Working towards positive EHCP outcomes and academic qualifications through knowledge and skills development
  5. Preparing SEND friendly teaching resources and learning environment
  6. Ensuring Sessions Goals are completed in session to demonstrate progress over time
  7. Collaboration with Regional SEND Leads, implementing Pinc Universal Support Strategies
  8. Working closely with our careers and employability team to prepare and support students in readiness for work experience
  9. Seeking and co-creating partnership opportunities for students, utilising the Creative and Social capital of the area - linking projects with the Museum/Gallery and community
  10. Inspiring and engaging students to learn, encouraging investigation, enquiry and appropriately challenging students, developing skills for adulthood and work
  11. Creating and reviewing individual learning progress, using college systems and reflecting on SEND Learning needs
  12. Completing half termly progress reports
  13. Contributing to termly moderation/assessment of overall progress/planning with other teachers
  14. Developing and adapting conventional teaching methods to meet individual needs
  15. Using resources and facilities, such as the whole space of the Art Gallery/Museum, including technology, to stimulate interest in learning
  16. Delivering themed termly art/digital art projects and student exhibitions
  17. Directing support teams in who and how they support holistic student progress
  18. Recording and sharing safeguarding concerns in accordance with policy
  19. Applying industry knowledge and skills for work to support, replicate and build on work-related learning
  20. Attending College CPD events and scheduled team meetings
  21. Working with wider college teams, Communications and Interaction Specialists and Regional SEND Leads to support student progress

You will be part of a team who educate, safeguard and support neurodivergent students (16 – 24 year olds).
