Roles and Responsibilities of an Art Teacher
A teacher of art and design promotes the value and development of creativity and imagination in pupils. You will be responsible for teaching students' practical skills so they can express themselves by creating their own art in various forms, including painting, drawing, sculpture, digital design, photography, and textiles. It is expected that you will teach students with a range of abilities and, in some cases, prepare students to sit for GCSEs. As an Art Teacher, you must teach in conjunction with the national curriculum, set homework, and assess the progress of students.
