Position Overview

The Art Sales Associate is responsible for engaging with clients, building relationships, and driving sales while providing exceptional customer service. You'll serve as a bridge between artists and collectors, ensuring each client finds the perfect piece to meet their aesthetic and investment goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales and Client Relations
   Engage with visitors to the gallery or studio, providing detailed information about the artists and their works.
   Build strong relationships with new and existing clients through personalized service.
   Identify and address client needs, preferences, and budgets to recommend suitable artworks.
   Actively follow up with leads and inquiries to close sales.
2. Art Expertise and Presentation
   Develop a deep understanding of the artists, techniques, and history behind the pieces in the collection.
   Assist in curating and arranging displays to highlight featured works.
   Conduct tours or presentations for clients, organizations, or special events.
3. Operations and Record-Keeping
   Maintain accurate records of sales, client interactions, and inventory.
   Coordinate with the shipping team to ensure safe and timely delivery of purchased works.
   Assist in the planning and execution of gallery events, openings, or art fairs.
4. Marketing Support
   Collaborate with the marketing team to promote new exhibitions and artists.
   Use social media and other platforms to engage with potential buyers and expand the gallery's reach.

Qualifications

1. Passion for art and knowledge of contemporary and historical art movements.
2. Proven experience in sales, preferably in art, luxury goods, or high-end retail.
3. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Ability to build rapport with clients and close sales.
5. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
