Art/Photography teacher

Academic Appointments Ltd is currently working with a partner, Pontefract School, to recruit a dedicated Art and Photography Teacher. This is a full-time position and will be from January 2023 until Easter in the first instance, with the potential for a permanent offer for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will be teaching Art and Photography to Key Stage 3 and 4, and will have responsibility for their own exam classes.

This ‘Good’ rated school in the Pontefract area has leaders at all levels with high expectations. They have been successful in improving the quality of teaching since the last inspection. The Art department’s aim is to challenge and inspire its students to achieve their full potential. The school is described by staff as an excellent place to work and learn.

Requirements:

• QTS or relevant teaching qualification
• Well qualified with an honours degree in a relevant subject
• 2 x references from educational establishments
• Evidence of an exemplary track record
• A passion for success and quality teaching
• An Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service

Rate of pay is dependent on current grade, experience, and payroll method.
