On behalf of Protocol Education, we are seeking Art Graduates to work as SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) and SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Support Assistants in primary and secondary schools across Newcastle.
This full-time, term-time role (Monday to Friday) is an exciting opportunity to use your creativity and communication skills to support children who face emotional and behavioural challenges, helping them succeed both academically and personally.
Your background in art and creativity makes you ideally suited to engage and inspire young people. While you may occasionally use your creative skills to support art-related activities, this role goes far beyond the art room—you’ll be supporting children across the curriculum in subjects like English, maths, and science, as well as offering emotional and behavioural support. This is a fantastic opportunity if you’re considering a career in education, art therapy, youth work, or mental health support.
At Protocol Education, we specialise in connecting passionate individuals with meaningful roles in schools. We are dedicated to supporting both our staff and the children they work with, helping to create positive and inspiring learning environments.
If you’re an Art Graduate ready to make a difference in Newcastle schools, we want to hear from you.
Submit your CV today, and a member of our Protocol Education team will be in touch to discuss how you can support children with SEMH and SEND needs.
