Job description

You are here: Home / News / News / Army Benevolent Fund – Corporate Partnerships Manager

The Army Benevolent Fund is the Army’s national charity, here for soldiers, for life. We fund housing, employability, mental wellbeing, family, elderly care and independent living support for the Army family. Last year we supported over 75,000 soldiers, veterans and their families through this work including by funding 86 charities, from Combat Stress and Walking with the Wounded to smaller local organisations. Corporate partnerships play an important role in funding this work.

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious candidate to work with major companies to make a difference to the lives of soldiers, veterans and their families. It is an exciting time to join the successful, growing Corporate Partnerships team at the Army’s national charity.

The team manages a range of impactful corporate relationships, from large-scale, long-term funding partnerships to a new corporate membership scheme, cause-related marketing and staff fundraising relationships. You will join the team at an exciting time as we continue to grow the size and value of the programme, benefiting from our healthy pipeline of prospects and our popular events programme.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage relationships with existing partners through planning and delivering on engagement and communications plans.
  2. Identify, engage and pitch to prospective supporters, building income across our corporate offerings.

The successful candidate will sit within the wider High Value Relationships and Central Events team, managing a Corporate Fundraising Executive, reporting to the Head of High Value Relationships and working with colleagues within and beyond the team, including our 12 regional offices.

This role would be a good fit for a military veteran with experience in the charity or commercial sector or an experienced Corporate Fundraiser. You must be a confident and able communicator with experience of sales and relationship management. You will be an organised administrator and, ideally, have experience of Salesforce or similar CRM systems. The successful candidate will be tasked with achieving ambitious fundraising targets whilst working within the bounds of a responsible and respected institution.

The starting salary is £44,000. After a probationary period of 6 months, the successful candidate will benefit from the Charity’s full range of employment benefits including an income protection scheme and an employer contribution pension. There will also be opportunities to participate in key Charity events and activities with a TOIL scheme in place.

This is a full-time post for 35 hours per week, on an initial two-year fixed term contract based at the Charity’s Office in London, Victoria. (The Charity currently operates a hybrid/flexible working pattern with an expectation of a minimum of 2 days in the office).
