About the role:

We are looking for a charismatic Area Sales Representative for our Environmental Products Division. This position requires you to sell a wide range of our products, including waste management, street furniture, safety products, and seating. Our key customers for these products are Local Authorities, Councils, Government Departments, Universities, Colleges, and Hospitals, alongside their contractors and consultants. Commitment to building long-term customer relationships is essential to attract repeat business.

The position covers a large geographical territory encompassing Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Cumbria, Merseyside, Cheshire, Staffordshire, and Derbyshire.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Visit customers face to face to demonstrate and present a wide range of market-leading products.
  2. Plan and prioritise a geographical territory to arrange customer meetings.
  3. Identify new business opportunities and prospect non-user accounts.
  4. Follow up on sales leads and arrange customer meetings.
  5. Liaise with existing customers and develop new customer relationships.
  6. Interpret sales reports, trends, and legislation to identify commercial markets and product opportunities.
  7. Participate in team sales meetings and share product/market knowledge.
  8. Work with in-house Product Design team to develop new products from concept through to production.
  9. Visit trade shows and exhibitions to introduce and showcase our product range.

Ideal Candidate Background:

  1. Strong Commercial Awareness.
  2. Experience within sales, account management, business development, and/or customer support roles.
  3. Familiar with selling products online and/or face to face via demonstration and/or presentation, with the ability to outline features and benefits.
  4. Knowledge of efficient planning and management of a large geographical territory.
  5. A genuine interest towards developing a career in account management.
  6. A high level of self-motivation and determination to achieve goals and targets.
  7. Good level of IT Literacy.
  8. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  9. Strong organisational, administrative, and time management skills.
  10. Charismatic and passionate with a stable career background.
  11. Educated to A-Levels and/or University Degree or equivalent (desirable).
  12. Full, Clean UK driving licence.

Salary: Competitive commencing salary

Quarterly sales target bonus

Terms and Conditions:

Full-time, permanent position. Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm (subject to the needs of the role). 30-minute lunch break. Monthly Pay in arrears by the 28th day of each month.
