£40,000 - £45,000 Basic Salary + Company Vehicle / Car Allowance + Credit Card + £10k - 15k OTE (uncapped) + Benefits

The Role of Area Sales Manager

  • A field-based area sales management role covering a territory of South West England and South Wales.
  • 80% account management with a small amount (20%) of new business.
  • Selling a range of materials testing systems into academic institutions and end users with a host of engineering disciplines.
  • Longer sales cycles (2 - 18+ months) and order values between £10k up to £500k+.
  • The role involves an amount of travel across the territory, including Germany twice per year.
  • Occasional overnights; typically, around 3 per month.
  • Full UK drivers' licence and right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
  • Hold a valid passport.

The Candidate for the Area Sales Manager

  • Familiar with electrical, mechanical, or mechatronic engineering principles.
  • Commercial awareness and able to have technical sales conversations with clients.
  • Existing technical sales experience or an engineer looking for a commercial role.
  • Knowledge of Charpy, IZOD, Impact Testing, and ISO 148-1 is of distinct interest.
  • Hold a full valid UK driving licence.
  • Have right to work in the UK as sponsorship can't be provided.

The Package for the Area Sales Manager

  • £40,000 - £45,000 basic salary, D.O.E (Scope for more with industry sales experience).
  • £10k-£15k OTE (Uncapped).
  • Expensed company car or £500pcm car allowance.
  • Credit Card.
  • Pension, Mobile, Laptop.
  • Enhanced sick pay (75 days full pay).
  • On-going manufacturers training.
  • 25 days holiday plus stats.
