Area Sales Manager - M&E Building Services

Job Title: Area Sales Manager - M&E Building Services

Industry Sector: M&E Contractors, Building Services, HVAC, M&E Consultants, Local Authorities, Plumbing Contractors, Heating Contractors and Plumbers Merchants

Area to be covered: Northern Ireland

Remuneration: £50,000 - £57,000 + 12.5-25% Bonus

Benefits: Fully Expensed Electric or Plug-In Hybrid Car & Full Benefits

Role Responsibilities:

1. Field sales role selling manufactured range of commercial pumps into commercial building services projects such as schools, hospitals, high rise residential and public buildings
2. 50% of your time selling into M&E sub contractors
3. 20% generating specifications with M&E consultants, local authorities, health authorities and other specialist specifiers
4. 30% back selling through nationals like BSS and independent plumbing & heating merchants, ensuring distributors and local stockists are fully informed in respect of new products
5. Majority of your time will be spent generating new business, mainly through developing existing accounts
6. Project sizes from £5,000 up to £200,000 (average orders £20,000)
7. Taking over a territory currently performing on budget
8. Targeted to achieve £1.4m (last year area did just over £1m, but the year before £1.5m)
9. Keeping a well-organised CRM system

Ideal Applicant:

1. Proven field sales experience within the building services industry, ideally commercial pumps
2. Contacts with M&E contractors are ideal
3. Open to all commercial building services products such as pumps, boilers, valves or other heating and ventilation (H&V) associated products
4. Specification field sales experience with M&E consultants would be advantageous but is not essential
5. Technical ability
6. On the up in career, not a man manager looking to make a backward step
