Job description

Area Sales Manager required for a manufacturer of electronic components, plastic injection parts, metal parts, etc based in Woolwich. The role would be covering central England (Essex up to the Midlands) selling the whole range of products.


Area Sales Manager - Central Job Overview

  1. Sales responsibility for the territory to New & Existing Customers to achieve growth.
  2. Visit qualified customers & prospects, typically 4 days per week with 1 day at home for planning & admin.
  3. Monthly Review Meeting with Management at the office.
  4. Provide Visit Reports to the office on a daily basis via CRM system.
  5. Carry out Sales initiatives including 'Cold Calls' to promote products to potential customers.
  6. Develop relationships at decision level of major customers and prospects.
  7. Manage customers & prospects closely to ensure competitiveness of the company's quotations.
  8. Exhibitions, attend as required.
  9. Effective & timely response to sales leads provided.
  10. Keep aware & communicate information on Market, Competitor activity, and Technology changes.

Area Sales Manager - Central Job Requirements

  1. Previous experience within one of more of the following: Electronic components, Plastic Injection Moulding, Metal Parts, etc.
  2. Previous Sales Management experience.
  3. Ideally a technical background and qualification.

Area Sales Manager - Central Salary & Benefits

Salary dependent on experience likely £40k-£50k (However would consider a more junior candidate at a lower starting salary).

OTE of £10k-£20k commission (up to £70k+ overall).
