Job description

We are recruiting for an experienced area sales manager with electrical wholesale/lighting product knowledge.


Our client is a market leader looking to attract top talent within the electrical wholesale field and will reward successful professionals with a structured and progressive career path.


This is a dual internal/external role working from their Aintree based showroom.


Monday - Friday (no weekends)


A great opportunity to grow both existing and new business opportunities.


  1. Visiting existing, dormant and new customers on a daily basis to maximise sales opportunities.
  2. Prepare and progress quotations and tenders.
  3. Business planning and review meetings with management.
  4. New trading account generation and revisiting dormant accounts.
  5. Pro-active telephone canvassing for appointment generation.
  6. To promote the good name of the company and extensive product range and further develop relationships with new and existing customers.
  7. Effective territory planning in order to maximise customer contact.
  8. Ensure continual awareness of new and updated products as necessary.
  9. Exploiting all opportunities to supply a wider range of products.

Ideal Candidate:


Friendly, articulate, energetic, likeable, customer focused with excellent work ethic. You will have the ability to communicate effectively with customers both face to face and over the telephone. You will be well presented with a proven track record of delivering first class customer service at all times.


Experience within an independent or national electrical wholesaler is desirable; however, the right attitude and willingness to learn is essential.


Real ambition and a desire to succeed would be beneficial as the role offers excellent opportunities to progress in the future.


Competitive basic salary + Bonus + Car + progression to management.


Position: Permanent.
