Area to be covered: West Midlands
Remuneration: £40,000-£45,000 Neg. + up to 40% Bonus

The role of the Area Sales Manager - Building Plastics will involve:

1. Field sales position selling a distributed range of building plastics across numerous recognised brands.
2. Huge portfolio of products including; wall panels, facias & soffits, guttering, cladding, decking, drainage, canopies, silicones, corners & joints, doors, flashings & DPC, polycarbonate, GRP etc.
3. Selling into various contractor/installers; roofing contractors, cladding contractors, window fitters, decking contractors as well as general tradesmen, builders merchants, small housebuilders etc.
4. Responsible for an area with a turnover between £5-£10m, this area has between 17-19 branches and you will be responsible for between 3-4 at any one time (branches can range in turnover from £30,000-£200,000 per month).
5. 70% of your time managing existing portfolio customers, 30% new business development (target list of customers will be provided).
6. Customers typically turnover between £7,500-£50,000+.
7. Working closely with the regional team of area managers at branch level supporting their sales activities a couple of days a week, 2 days on the road visiting customers and a day working from home/administration.

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Building Plastics with:

1. Building plastics associated field sales experience would be ideal.
2. Or a building product field sales background with experience of selling into contractor/installers; roofing contractors, cladding contractors, window fitters, decking contractors or general tradesmen, builders merchants, small housebuilders etc.
3. Open to builders merchant/distribution field sales backgrounds.
4. Specific knowledge of wall panels, facias & soffits, guttering, cladding, decking, drainage, canopies, silicones, corners & joints, doors, flashings & DPC, polycarbonate, GRP etc. is not essential.
5. Driven, target-focused and a team player.
6. Analytical thinker.
