Role: Area Sales Manager

Salary: £37,000 - £43,000 + Quarterly Commission + Electric Company Car and EV charging point if required

Location: London East & East Anglia - Based from home but daily Travel (London East & East Anglia)

We’re looking for an ambitious, field sales driven Area Sales Manager to join our successful GB Sales team at Portakabin covering London East & East Anglia. You will be based from home; however, the travel will be daily across the London East & East Anglia Region.

As an Area Sales Manager, you will maximise the area sales turnover of SMB and small modular projects for both new and refurbished buildings, working with existing and new customers through a combination of reactive and pro-active approaches.

You will develop and promote the company’s sales business, to include our full range of products and services. The role is target driven and the key focus is on order winning activity.

To be successful in this role you will be an exceptionally ambitious field sales expert with a passion and drive to develop the opportunities and sales within the region. You will thrive off being on the road, going to meet customers and will have had an extensive and exciting career journey with field sales.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Achieve set targets for sales within area.
  2. Work within a set of agreed KPI’s for example visit and order numbers.
  3. Plan sales coverage of the area to ensure that all customers are contacted at the required frequency.
  4. Identify and develop new business opportunities and sectors.
  5. Assume account management responsibilities with nominated clients to ensure key relationships are developed and maintained.
  6. Work closely with the Marketing Team to actively exploit the sector and client research information provided.
  7. Ensure information is kept up to date on CRM system.
  8. Respond quickly to the needs of an audience and to their reactions and feedback.
Essential Criteria for the Area Sales Manager

We are looking for someone who has:

  1. Substantial face-to-face technical sales experience (business to business).
  2. Experience in developing and maintaining successful client relationships.
  3. A forward-thinking approach and a clear vision to succeed.
  4. The strong ability to sell based on relationships and the quality of the product.
  5. Successful delivery against sales targets and KPIs.
  6. Strong communication skills, organized, work with accuracy, attention to detail, and a strong teamwork ethic.
  7. The availability to travel daily and stay over - Full UK driving licence.
  8. Strong experience of carrying out business development activities.
  9. Coping with pressure & setbacks.
  10. Working experience using MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
