Area Sales Manager

Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager required to join a leading distributor of Hydraulics.

The successful candidate will focus on developing new business opportunities and managing key accounts for hydraulic products and systems such as hoses, hose assemblies, plug-in connectors, fittings, and other related products across the South West.

The ideal candidate will have experience selling hydraulic products such as hoses, valves, fittings, actuators, and/or similar Fluid Power products.

Role Responsibilities

1. Develop new business opportunities and manage key accounts for hydraulic/fluid power products.
2. Maintain hydraulic product and system sales through demonstration, exhibition, and negotiation to achieve targets.
3. Provide pre-sales technical assistance and support for all customer needs within the Hydraulic industry.
4. Offer after-sales support services and technical backup as required to customers across various industries.
5. Work remotely/field-based covering mainly the Midlands, with regular visits to customer sites across the UK.
6. Liaise with various engineering departments.

Requirements

1. Experience as a Key Account Manager, Account Manager, Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Engineer or similar within the Hydraulic Industry or High-pressure hose industry.
2. Experience selling or managing key accounts for hydraulic and hose-related equipment.
3. Proven sales experience within the hydraulic industry is highly encouraged.
4. Full clean driving license.
5. Willingness to operate remotely with travel to customer sites across the UK.
