Job Title: Area Sales Manager (ASM)

Reporting to: Senior Sales Manager

Salary: £36,000 - £40,000 + Competitive Bonus

Car: Provided

Area Covered: South East

Working Hours: 09:00 - 17:00

About the Role

My client are looking for highly motivated and results-driven Area Sales Manager (ASM) to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial to expanding our Food service customer portfolio and exceeding both turnover and margin growth targets in a defined geographical area. You will be responsible for driving sales across all product categories in the Q range, developing new business, and fostering relationships with existing customers. As an ASM, you will report directly to the Senior Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Exceed sales and margin targets set by Q.
  2. Maximize business opportunities with both existing and new customers through efficient call coverage.
  3. Proactively generate new business in the defined area, targeting opportunities aligned with Q's ideal customer profile.
  4. Regularly track performance against daily, weekly, and quarterly KPIs and targets.
  5. Ensure all administrative tasks are up to date and actively managed.

Skills & Experience

  1. Proven sales experience of at least 2 years within the HORECA & Education sectors.
  2. Strong sales background with a solution-based approach tailored to customer needs.
  3. Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to generate new business opportunities that align with Q's targeted profile.
  4. A passion for food, with a creative approach to menu suggestions, portion control, and financial costings.
  5. Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  6. Self-motivated and proactive, demonstrating a "can-do" attitude.
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
