Area Sales Manager

Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Executive required to join a global manufacturer of CNC machine tool accessories and precision tools such as tool holders, measuring instruments, shrinking technology and cutting tools as well as other products used in manufacturing and precision engineering.

The Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Executive will be based from home and meet clients across The Midlands and surrounding areas. They will have a background in CNC and have some experience selling into the precision engineering / manufacturing industry which includes Aerospace, Automotive, Machine Tools, Cutting Tools, Defence and more.

The successful Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Executive will ideally have a mechanical engineering qualification or be apprentice trained with experience selling CNC machine tools, cutting tools, precision accessories, metrology equipment, CMM's, measuring instruments, shrinking technology, industrial measurement equipment, precision tools, tool holders, or similar products used within a CNC / Machining / Manufacturing environment.

We are also open to receiving applications from candidates with a CNC / Milling / Turning background who are looking to move into a sales position.

Role

1. Based from home, you will travel to meet clients in the Midlands and surrounding areas, managing and developing accounts within the precision engineering / manufacturing industry which includes Aerospace, Automotive, Machine Tools, Cutting Tools, Defence and more.
2. Selling a range of products including CNC machine tools and precision tools such as tool holders, measurement instruments, shrinking technology and cutting tools.
3. Perform installations and provide product training for clients on different precision accessories.
4. Identify and acquire new market potential.
5. Liaise with the internal and external sales team.
6. Selling to OEM's.
7. Attend exhibitions and trade shows to promote products and services as well as develop new business relationships.
8. Remote position covering the Midlands and surrounding areas.

Requirements

1. Prior experience as an Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Executive / Account Manager / Field Sales Engineer / Junior Sales Engineer.
2. A mechanical engineering / Manufacturing sales background selling CNC machine tools, cutting tools, metrology equipment, CMM's, measuring instruments, shrinking technology, industrial measurement equipment, precision tools, tool holders, or similar products used within a CNC / Machining environment.
3. A mechanical engineering or manufacturing qualification will be advantageous.
4. Must have a Full UK Driving License and willingness to travel across The Midlands and surrounding areas.
