Area Sales Engineer

Position: Area Sales Engineer - Industrial Electrical Control & Automation

Salary: Excellent negotiable salary dependent upon experience, plus excellent benefits including car, pension, buy/sell holidays, and more.

On behalf of our Client, we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Area Sales Engineer/Area Sales Manager with a proven track record in business development and sales in the Electrical Control and Automation industry to join this first-class business.

Responsibilities:

1. Sell a range of high-quality Industrial Automation products, including PLC, Control Gear, Switchgear & Circuit Protection, Variable Speed Drives, Sensors, HMI, and Process Instrumentation.
2. Target OEM, End User, System Integrator, and Panel Builder markets throughout the North of the Tyne area.
3. Achieve defined sales targets and develop a personal plan to meet objectives.
4. Manage and further develop an existing portfolio of accounts while identifying new business opportunities.

Qualifications:

1. Sales and technical experience in the Industrial Automation industry.
2. Proven record of sales success and achievement.
3. A formal qualification in an Electrical/Electronic discipline to ONC/HND or above is desirable but not essential.
4. Good organization and communication skills.
5. Capability with Microsoft packages.
