Area Sales Engineer

Position: Area Sales Engineer - Industrial Electrical Control & Automation

Salary: Good negotiable salary dependent upon experience, plus excellent bonus package including up to 25% bonus, company car, pension, private medical, and life insurance.

On behalf of our client, we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Area Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Sales Development Engineer with a proven track record as a business developer and excellent salesman in the Electrical Control and Automation industry to join this first-class business.

Responsibilities:

1. Selling a range of high-quality Industrial Automation products (PLC, Control Gear, Switchgear & Circuit Protection, Variable Speed Drives, Sensors, HMI, and Process Instrumentation).
2. Targeting OEM, End User, System Integrator, and Panel Builder markets throughout the South East quarter of England.
3. Developing and managing an existing portfolio of accounts while identifying new business opportunities.
4. Achieving defined sales targets and developing a personal plan to meet objectives.
5. Demonstrating product and customer market knowledge.

Qualifications:

1. Sales and technical experience in the Industrial Automation industry.
2. A formal qualification in an Electrical/Electronic discipline to ONC/HND or above is desirable but not essential.
3. Capability with Microsoft packages.
