Job description

Area Property Operations Manager

Location: Near Oxford: 4 days on-site, 1 day in-office (no remote flexibility)
Contract: 6 Months - ongoing (Inside IR35)
Clearance: Enhanced BPSS required (must be eligible)

The Opportunity:
We're working with a high-profile public sector authority on a mission-critical project within the Justice sector. As Area Property Operations Manager, you'll play a key role in driving facilities and estates strategy across a diverse and secure portfolio. You'll take ownership of site delivery across prisons and probation sites, ensuring compliance, continuity, and quality in hard and soft FM service provision. If you're an FM powerhouse with real contract management clout and a passion for public infrastructure, this is your moment.

Key Requirements:
  1. Proven experience in Facilities Management (Hard & Soft Services)
  2. Strong track record in Contract & Supplier Management
  3. Full UK Driving Licence - essential for site travel
  4. Understanding of compliance, audits, inspections, and emergency planning
  5. Commercial mindset with experience managing project works and spend approvals
  6. Experience in multi-site property or public estate settings preferred

Desirable:
  1. Project Management experience
  2. Membership or commitment to MIWFM/CIWFM or MRICS

Travel:
You must be within commutable distance of Oxford. This is a hands-on operational role with regular site visits.
