Area Manager - Domiciliary Care


We're looking for an experienced Area Manager / Regional Manager to take up a role overseeing the operations of several Domiciliary Care branches in the South East. You'd be working for an ever-expanding, ambitious organisation who are rooted in top-quality care delivery and customer service, enabling people to maintain their independence and have a high standard of living.


As the Area Manager, you'll be responsible for the leadership of a team of Registered Managers, empowering them to excel in their roles and ensuring accountability for the growth and development of their services.


On offer for the Area Manager is a salary of £54,000 - £60,000 plus bonus scheme, car allowance, and pension. This company is taking the care sector by storm, providing ample opportunities for personal development and growth for capable and dedicated individuals.


The Area Manager role

  1. Overseeing service quality, financial performance, customer experience, growth, and leadership across a number of CQC regulated domiciliary care services in the South East.
  2. Responsible for the overall financial performance of the area, overseeing the P+L and setting budgets. Supporting Registered Managers in the growth of their services by monitoring business activity and implementing strategies to aid growth.
  3. Ensure that services are audited regularly and any areas for improvement are identified and actioned.
  4. Develop policies and procedures.
  5. Provide line management and support to the Registered Managers, ensuring compliance with CQC standards and delivering high standards of customer care and support.
  6. Establish and maintain effective relationships with local regulators.

The Successful Candidate

  1. Experience in a senior management role within social care, ideally as an Area Manager, Regional Manager, Operations Manager, or similar, preferably within Domiciliary Care, Extracare, or Supported Living.
  2. Significant experience and knowledge around budget planning, management, review, and improvement.
  3. Understanding of CQC requirements and best practices in social care delivery.
  4. Knowledge of care sector commission strategies.
  5. Ability to lead by example and act as a role model for professional standards.
  6. Driver with own car.
