About the Role:

We are actively seeking a Area Development Manager to join our friendly and dedicated team. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, successful applicants will be targeted on the development and sustaining of new business as well as the management and relationship building of current clients.

We are looking for applicants with experience within the Utility, Drainage, Construction or Hire industry.

Location: Slough

Hours: Monday to Friday – 37.5 Hours per week.

Responsibilities – but not limited to:

  1. Within the role, you will be targeted with sourcing new business essential to the growth of the company.
  2. Conduct site visits to evaluate works being requested, confirm the company is in a position to conduct work, quote works, and liaise with the operational team to deliver exceptional service in a cost-effective and timely manner.
  3. Work closely with the depot managers to help achieve sales targets and provide accurate forecasts for expected sales.
  4. Due to the nature of the role, a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points is required. Applicants will be expected to attend on-site visits, cold calling, and travel when required for regional meetings.

Experience and qualifications required for the role:

Exceptional sales and customer service skills are key to success in this role. We are looking for a dedicated individual who is hungry to do well, ambitious, hardworking, and able to show initiative. Applicants will have established sales experience ideally within the multi-utility/drainage industry.
