Thorn Baker is working in collaboration with an established facilities management company to source a Cleaning Area Manager for support with a high-end retail contract across Merseyside, Liverpool, Widnes, and Warrington. The objective of the Area Manager is as follows:
- Ensure that the services/contracts under the Area Manager's control achieve budgeted profit levels set by the board directors
- Ensure that all operations are carried out in line with board policies and procedures
- Train all staff and carry out an induction training program before commencement with the company
- Ensure that a quality service is provided to clients by implementing stringent procedures and employing well-trained, professional, and motivated personnel
- Conduct regular visits to carry out cleaning inspections and support the team with any issues
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the Health & Safety of all personnel within the Area Manager's span of control, ensuring the company's Health & Safety policy is implemented and adhered to at all times
- Responsible for ensuring Health & Safety considerations are taken into account by completing a Risk Assessment when preparing one-off quotations
- Responsible for ensuring that the equipment used at each location is regularly checked to ensure it is in line with the Electricity at Work Act
- Plan the allocation of tasks and responsibilities for personnel within their site
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively with strong management skills and coaching
- Ensure staff are properly briefed and understand all SLAs
- Ensure key roles within the Area are covered, including all staffing levels
- Visit sites on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to build a strong rapport with the client on-site (visits will be expected to be up to half a day per site)
- Ensure administrative paperwork for the services/contracts is maintained
- Ensure all timesheets for the works carried out are checked and signed off before being submitted to your line manager for final approval
- Ensure that the Site Diary forms are signed off by the client every month
- Conduct and complete monthly audits
