Job description

Salary / Fee: From £34,000 to £34,000. The role is 2 days per week and the salary is quoted on a pro-rata basis.

SUMMARY
The Archive Project Manager will manage and coordinate the different activities at the Cinema with regards to the National Lottery Heritage Fund, ‘The Electric Palace Archive Project’. In managing this Project, The Archive Project Manager will help us to manage, protect and develop a long-term asset of our archive. This will be a highly strategic role and we are looking for the right person to help move the Electric Palace forward.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Project Management
    1. To develop, deliver and evaluate the programme of activities as outlined in the NLHF Activity Plan.
    2. Manage day-to-day aspects of the Activity Plan, including volunteer and staff supervision and management.
    3. To be responsible for financial management of the Activity Plan, including grant payment requests, logging of spending and regular reporting to the NLHF.
    4. To work with individual Trustees assigned to oversee the project and to report to the Board of Trustees on project progress and finances.
    5. To develop strong, sustainable partnerships with, but not limited to, those organisations identified in the Activity Plan and/or required for successful project delivery.
    6. To create systems to collect appropriate management information, allowing regular monitoring and evaluation of activities.
    7. To work with Education Officer and Community Engagement Officer to deliver the activities and offer learning opportunities to visitors.
    8. To work with existing staff to ensure active online presence through social media accounts and website.
    9. To use digital media to engage existing and new audiences and deliver activities.
    10. To ensure project documents are complete, current and appropriately stored.
    11. To be the main point of contact with and liaise with the NLHF to ensure all required data is accurately collected and reported on time.
    12. To work with Education and Community Engagement Officer and Archivist to ensure that sustainability objectives are considered when implementing all aspects of the project.
  2. Other
    To undertake any other duties commensurate with the post that shall from time to time be determined by The Electric Palace.
