AtkinsRéalis are looking to recruit a motivated Architectural Technologist or Technical Architect with relevant years work experience to join our Cardiff Architecture team as part of the wider Midlands, South-West and Wales business region. This will initially be on a contract basis with the potential opportunity to change to a permanent contract.

Within the Midlands South-West and Wales business including the Cardiff studio, we have just under 200 individuals involved in the design and creation of the built environment in Education, Commercial, Energy, Defence and Residential sectors. You would be working alongside Architectural staff including Architects, Architectural technologists, Interior Designers, Landscape Architects and Building Surveying professionals with a balanced mix of graduates through to senior professionals and directors. People are the heart of our success and supporting, training, and mentoring our staff is paramount to AtkinsRéalis remaining at the forefront of design and innovation.

About The Role:

AtkinsRéalis offers candidates the opportunity to be a part of exciting projects working with a network of creative individuals all with the shared aspirational goal of design excellence. The role would be ideal for those looking to take ownership of projects in either a supporting or leading role.

Our primary focus is to ensure our staff are challenged towards professional growth within a new team, exposing Architectural Technologists to the multi-discipline environment.

Requirements for this grade:

  • The ideal candidate will be a chartered member of CIAT or ARB certified, with demonstrable solid years experience on a wide range of complex projects at different stages with a good understanding of the UK Building Regulations.
  • The desired individual will understand the design process and have the ability to deliver this from concept into detail design.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD is essential; experience in advanced collaboration software (such as Navisworks), federation of BIM models, model checking, clash and interface management and on-site job running is desirable.
  • We are looking for individuals who can consistently contribute to the successful delivery of projects with varying levels of complexity and ranging in size from small, medium and large-scale.
  • The personal qualities required from the applying candidate should demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, organised and efficient with attention to detail.
  • Flexible approach to working with a positive and 'can-do' attitude, self-motivated and committed individuals who can be both clear thinker but have the willingness to be a strong team player.
  • This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance.
