Architectural Technologist - Revit

Have a really exciting opportunity for an Architectural Technologist to join my clients for a heavily remote position with some travel to their office monthly. They are looking to expand their team with the addition of an Architectural Technologist with 5+ years experience at this level to add depth to their team. They have successfully tendered for a number of projects across the Residential and Office sectors. They are an established practice nationally and this could be your opportunity to join them!

If you are an Architectural Technologist with 5 years of experience within UK residential medium to large scale and have demonstratable experience delivering across all the RIBA stages, adaptability to work independently or as part of a team, this could be a great opportunity to progress your career. Our clients are looking for a driven individual that will integrate well into their team and bring value and technical knowledge to their projects.

The position will be remote based with infrequent visits to the office.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the preparation and submission of planning applications, demonstrating a strong understanding of the planning system, including NPPF, Local Plans, and relevant guidelines.
2. Develop and refine design proposals, progressing them from initial concepts through to technical specifications, tender documentation, and detailed construction drawings.
3. Manage project timelines to ensure the successful delivery of each project.
4. Actively mentor and support colleagues, fostering a collaborative team environment that encourages professional growth and shared learning with Revit software.
5. Serve as the key point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and other construction professionals.
6. Contribute to site appraisals, surveys, client meetings, and site inspections, supporting the development of projects and ensuring smooth on-site implementation.
7. Undertake Designer CDM responsibilities, possessing in-depth knowledge of CDM regulations and the BSA Principal Designer role.
8. Demonstrate proficiency across later RIBA work stages.

Essential Requirements:

1. 5+ years' experience as an Architectural Technologist in the Residential sectors.
2. HNC or Degree level qualification in Architectural Technology.
3. CIAT Chartership (Desirable).
4. Strong understanding of UK building regulations & construction methods.
5. Proficiency in AutoCAD & Revit - Essential.
6. Demonstratable experience in Large scale projects.
7. On-site experience with access to own transport.
8. Project running experience - advantageous.
9. Proven record in a senior role, managing a small team.
10. Based in - Exeter, Bristol, London, Bournemouth or Oxford.
