Conrad Consulting are recruiting for a Senior Architectural Technician to join a reputable Housebuilder. Their office is near Wrexham, Chester and the Welsh Border with England.

The company has an excellent reputation in the local area. Their work typically spans Cheshire, Flintshire, Shropshire, and Staffordshire. They have been in successful operation for over 30 years and have real ambitions to grow on the back of a really successful year. Their project work can range from a small residential development through to 500/600+ units. Technical work is produced using AutoCAD, and their existing team can offer a high level of technical support to new hires, hopefully making the adjustment into the new company as smooth as possible.

In order to accommodate their increasing workload and project growth plans for the next 18-24 months, they are looking to recruit 1 or maybe 2 Architectural Technicians, including at least one senior member of staff.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in the delivery of their development pipeline and will join a small dynamic team that provides a wide range of technical support to the business, including:

1. Development of standard house type designs and specifications.
2. Supervision of external professionals who input into planning and technical approvals.
3. Design of individual site layouts.
4. Coordination of engineering and services information.
5. Management of planning and building regulations submissions.
6. Support construction through the delivery process.

Key criteria for Senior Architectural Technician applicants to demonstrate include the following:

1. Degree or equivalent (HNC/HND) in Architectural Technology or similar.
2. AutoCAD experience is essential; REVIT, Sketchup, Photoshop would be advantageous.
3. Detailed knowledge of UK building regulations / NHBC standards.
4. Demonstrable experience within the UK Housebuilding sector.
5. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload efficiently.
